Update: December 16, 2020 – Ontario Financial Support for Families with Children
The Government of Ontario has announced further support for families with children in the form of a financial program to assist with additional costs incurred during the 2020-2021 school year due to COVID-19.
Eligible parents (or guardians) will receive a one-time payment as follows:
- $200 per child (up to the age of 12)
- $250 per child or youth up to age 21 with special needs.
Eligible parents must be residents of Ontario for children within the above noted age range and must have the following information available to apply:
- Name of child’s school and school board
- Child’s date of birth
- A valid email address
- Banking information (bank name, branch number and account number).
